International Cleaning Week started off strong with Rose on the Road in Washington, DC meeting with lawmakers about policy issues that directly affect our day to day lives. Rose’s Cleaning is an official MA State advocate in conjunction with ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association.) The main issues we spoke about with our Massachusetts senators and Congressional Representatives were:
- Funding the EPA Safer Choice program.
- Extending and enhancing the WOTC Tax Credit, and further non-seasonal work visa expansion.
- The “Dignity Act.”
Our feeling is the two biggest issues facing the home cleaning industry are the importance of developing, approving, and promoting safer products for people and the environment. The other major issue is addressing the labor shortage facing the cleaning industry and many other industries nationwide wide.
